Long-flowering roses bring a fall flush perfect for end-of-season bouquets. To usher in autumn, we shouldn’t overlook adding repeat-blooming roses to other mainstays of the season like asters, chrysanthemums, sunflowers, marigolds, and coreopsis.

In the landscape and in the vase, they make lovely companions. Pair roses with harvest decor like pumpkins and other gourds to elevate a centerpiece. From natural and informal to refined and elegant, fall-flowering roses in hues of the season enrich the display.

From rustic peach to lavender to deep scarlet, roses for fall bouquets invite warmth, vibrance, and even nostalgia. Rich neutrals soften the look while bold purples contrast with brighter colors. Showy rose hips, too, make a unique accent in fresh arrangements later in the season. From celebratory events to savoring the season’s easy bounty, roses bring the garden indoors with their lush blooms and sweet fragrance.

In addition to enjoying roses with extended flowering, fall is prime for adding to our collections. Plan to plant roses this month, allowing several weeks before the first anticipated frost for roots to develop before freezing conditions. Enjoy a robust growing season to follow with plenty of bouquets in the making.
